Manor Lakes Cricket Club is calling on locals to pull out all stumps for the McGrath Foundation this Saturday when it hosts a bumper fundraising day.

The club is hosting its first Pink Stumps Day, which will start off with a big breakfast and include an under 11s cricket match, seniors cricket match and fun and games for the whole family.

A bright pink trailer full of prizes, including a $5000 Jubilee holiday voucher, will go to one raffle ticket holder.

Organiser Cassie Brooks hopes to raise $10,000 for the McGrath Foundation, which places breast care nurses in communities around Australia and helps raise breast care awareness among young people.

Ms Brooks said the club was hoping to make the fundraiser an annual event.

“We didn’t think it was going to end up as big as it has been,” she said. “The amount of people that we’ve met and have helped us has been amazing.”

All money raised on the day will go towards the McGrath Foundation.

The Manor Lakes Cricket Club Pink Stumps Day will be held this Saturday between 8am-6.30pm at Howqua Reserve, Howqua Way, Manor Lakes.
