Police have arrested four youths following an aggravated burglary in Sanctuary Lakes this morning.

Officers were called to Sanctuary Lakes Boulevard about 3.40am on Monday October 16 after a resident reported that their house had been broken into and their Audi stolen about 3.25am.

The police Air Wing soon located the Audi and a black Kia in the vicinity and followed both vehicles as they got on the Princes Highway.

The black Kia was soon identified as the same vehicle that had been stolen in Burwood on Sunday evening.

Police were able to successfully deploy tyre deflation devices on both vehicles near Duncans Road, but the two occupants of the Kia got into the Audi and sped off towards the city.

After travelling through the tunnel and onto the M1, the Audi was dumped near Burke Road.

The four male occupants were then arrested nearby and are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
