Police have arrested four teenagers following an out-of-control party in North Melbourne last month where a number of police vehicles were damaged.

North Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit and Echo Task Force detectives arrested three of the teens from Wyndham addresses this morning after executing six search warrants in relation to the party held at a rented property on Shands Lane, North Melbourne, in the early hours of April 29. Four police vehicles were significantly damaged when officers responded to the incident at about 2am.

Among those arrested was an 18-year-old man in Baden Powell Drive, Tarneit; a 17-year-old boy in Parrakeet Road, Werribee; a 17-year-old boy in Hemlock Crescent, Point Cook; and a 16-year-old boy in Wellington Street, Collingwood.

All four males were interviewed and have been released pending further enquiries.

Police also seized a number of items, including mobile phones and a laptop, during this morning’s arrests.

The arrests come two days after police arrested and charged a 20-year-old Wollert man, an 18-year-old Point Cook man and an 18 year-old Deer Park man with criminal damage over the alleged trashing of a short-stay rental property in Footscray earlier this month.
