Consultation is open on another 1.8 kilometers of parkland proposed for Hoppers Crossing.

The parkland between Skeleton Creek and Old Geelong Road is the next stage of the Greening the Pipeline project to transform land alongside the heritage listed Main Outfall Sewer.

Concept designs for Zone 4 have been released and Wyndham Mayor Susan McIntyre invited feedback from the community.

“This section of the project aims to include more trees and green spaces, native

grasslands, a passive rain garden, an aqueduct deck, walking and cycling paths,

bicycle repair station and seating,” Cr McIntyre said.

Zone 4 of the project is one of nine zones that make up the 27 kilometer Greening the Pipeline project that runs from Werribee to Brooklyn.

Along with the neighbouring Zone 3, it is the only section that doesn’t run adjacent to the Federation Bike Trail, instead crossing the trail at Old Geelong Road before rejoining at Skeleton Creek.

To view the concept designs and to provide feedback, visit Wyndham council’s online engagement portal by Thursday July 13.
