Dying for Halloween fun

If you think Jenny Taylor’s house looks spooky now, wait til you see it on Halloween night.

The Point Cook resident said she’s been decorating for Halloween for about twenty years and loves seeing the joy on people’s faces after a good scare.

“I have set up many small areas such as a pumpkin patch out the front, a downed pirate ship, where the pirate wench, Sandy Sailor, was the only survivor and, as a typical female, she ensured she rescued the jewel box before the ship mostly sank,” Ms Taylor said.

“The broken mast, the top of the boat and the skulls of the non survivors can be seen floating around the area.

“The “beyond the gate” experience includes [a] Harry Potter [and] Stranger Things [section],… a witches hut with their prisoner pit, a swamp with crocodiles chasing a raft through a toxic waste dump, a Cemetery, [and] a haunted hearse.

“Then there’s a skeletal dinner party, and a shelf of touch to play props for young kids, a huge web of spiders, and Dexter’s Lab before they can choose to exit via my haunted house or haunted hallway.”

Ms Taylor has also employed the help of a drama club to participate as scarers, added smoke machines, and speakers to output eeriness.
