Drugs seized, two people arrested in Williams Landing

Police have arrested two people and seized items, including drugs, from a property in Williams Landing.

Police executed a warrant at the Cappela Crescent address yesterday during Operation Cricketer, an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both from Williams Landing, were arrested. The pair were charged with possessing equipment for trafficking, trafficking, possessing a drug of dependence, possessing proceeds of crime, committing indictable offence while on bail and numerous other drug-related offences.

While conducting the warrant, police seized a number of items including a hydraulic pill press, approximately three kilograms of steroid powder, binding agent, 1200 ecstasy pills, methylamphetamine, cocaine and cash.

They man and woman who were arrested faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday. The man is scheduled to reappear at court today, while the woman will face court again next week.
