Men charged after discovery of drug lab in Werribee South

Three men have been charged following the discovery of an alleged clandestine laboratory at Werribee South last week.

Police seized drugs with a street value of more than $5 million. The alleged lab was located at a residential property on Duncans Road on October 19.
The joint investigation by detectives of the Clandestine Laboratory Squad and the Drug Task Force also seized items including precursor chemicals, glassware and other apparatus.
Warrants were executed in Sunshine, Bulleen and Keysborough yesterday as part of the investigation. Approximately 11kg of what is believed to be ice.
A 53-year-old Sunshine man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of drugs and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on February 17.
A 22-year-old Sunshine man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of drugs and will also appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on February 17.
A 39-year-old Bulleen man was charged with firearm and proceeds of crime offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
