Thousands attended the Anzac Day dawn service at the Watton Street war memorial in Werribee last Thursday.
Residents from all walks of life descended on the city centre to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of all Australians who have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
Wyndham mayor Mia Shaw thanked those serving the country today.
“It is so wonderful to see thousands of people in our community come together on this very important day,” Cr Shaw said.

Wyndham Harbour Rotary’s Chris Egger was moved by the scenes at last week’s gathering.
“Hundreds of people stood united at the Anzac Day commemoration service,”
Mr Egger said.
“To the heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives, the courageous people that endured severe conditions … our lives today have been enriched by their sacrifice.”
