Child injured in Werribee incident

A primary-school aged child has been badly injured during an incident in Werribee this afternoon.

Paramedics were called after two vehicles collided on Duncans Road around 4pm.

At this stage, a total of three people have been assessed at the scene.

The child will be flown to The Royal Children’s Hospital. According to Ambulance Victoria, the child appears to be in a critical condition with suspected upper-body injuries.

A second person has been taken to Werribee Mercy Hospital, and a third person has been taken to The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
