Ahoy there! A family of five have donned pirate costumes and posed for a prize-winning Halloween portrait.
The Tuazon family – Miguel, Stephanie, Chloe, Bianca and Rey – submitted their photo to the family costume contest, run as part of the annual Manor Lakes Halloween event last month.
For their pirate-tastic efforts, the Tuazon family has won prizes donated by Lombard Hoppers Crossing, Kmart, Roy Birch Photography, Makeup Me Beautiful, the Melbourne Star and Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses.
Other winning entries included families and children dressed as Star Wars characters, Pennywise and Snow White.
Manor Lakes husband and wife Andrew Price and Maria Lodola-Price host the annual Halloween “spook-tacular” to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation
Ms Lodola-Price said the coronavirus pandemic meant their fundraising efforts took a different direction this year, including hosting several online photo competitions for Wyndham residents to enter.
Apart from the family costume contest, there was a house decorating contest, a pet costume contest and a colouring competition.
With online donations of more than $1800 and Dennis Family Homes donating $3300, this year’s Manor Lakes Halloween has raised more than $5110 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Ms Lodola-Price said she would like to thank all the businesses and individuals who donated prizes for their event, and everyone who entered the competitions.
