Wyndham Cultural Centre will be transported to Ireland as part of a special one-night-only performance next month.

Sionnach Rua’s Great Irish Song Book will be performing on Friday 28 April at 7.30pm.

Joining Gallie (vocals, acoustic guitar, bodhrán) are acclaimed Australian multi-instrumentalists Ruth Wise (fiddle), Paddy Montgomery (bouzouki, guitar) and Sam Davies (uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle).

Wyndham council Creative City portfolio holder and councillor Marcel Mahfoud said it will be an “entertaining and fun evening” for all.

“Ireland’s rich and unique culture is coming to Wyndham so dust off your best greenery and get into the Irish comradery and come along,” he said.

“Sionnach Rua’s Great Irish Songbook is an authentic music and story catalogue from an Irish born and raised front man.

“This stage show will make you feel like you are visiting an Irish bar without having to travel across the world.”

The show will feature stories from Gallie’s Irish upbringing, with tales of Irish tradition and histories, the audience will be transported back to the Ireland of yesteryear with a lively session of Celtic celebration with Celtic music and songs ranging from Planxty to Van Morrison to the Dubliners.
