Drive-by shooting: Another Truganina house sprayed with bullets

A Truganina house was sprayed with bullets during a drive-by shooting in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police received reports of shots being fired at the house in Tylden Way, Truganina, just before 1am, Leading Senior Constable Lee Thomson said.

Three adults and a child were home at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured, Senior constable Thomson said.

Witnesses told police they saw two men flee the shooting in a dark-coloured car.

It was the second drive-by shooting in the suburb in less than a week, after a property in Vanderbilt Drive was peppered with bullets about 1am on Wednesday. That property belongs to members of the Haddara family.

Senior Constable Thomson said initial investigations suggested the shootings were not related.

“That will form part of the investigation, but there’s not believed to be a link at this stage,” she said.
