UPDATE: A Truganina house was sprayed with bullets in an early-morning drive-by shooting on Wednesday.
Three people were sleeping inside the house on Vanderbilt Drive when two bullets were fired at the garage and a front window about 3.20am.
The bullet that hit the garage door also passed through a fridge before travelling through the bedroom of a man in the house.
The man, who lives in the house with his brother and his brother’s wife, said he was not scared by the incident.
“I’m never worried. Still I’m alive,” he said.
“A strong man [would] come here face to face, not come in the (expletive) night and shoot my home.”
Detective Senior Constable Steven Oakley from the Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit said police were still searching for the gunman.
“It appears the house has been shot at two times and no one was injured as a result of that shooting,” Detective Senior Constable Oakley said.
“Police ballistics is examining evidence that has been recovered from the house. It’s an ongoing investigation at this point in time.”
Detective Senior Constable Oakley said police did not yet have any suspects. He would not confirm that the house was subject to police raids in March during a crackdown on the Haddara crime family.
He refused to comment on whether or not the incident was part of a turf war between feuding families.
While the house has several CCTV cameras recording the front of the property, it is not believed they captured images of the shooter.
