Community Cabinet: Skate park art

A mural will be painted at a Wyndham Vale skate park as part of a state government graffiti removal and prevention program.

Wyndham council will receive more than $7000 to fund the Presidents Park mural, which will be designed by students at Manor Lakes College.

The council has previously received funding for a mural at Mossfiel Reserve skate park in Hoppers Crossing.

That park has only being tagged once since the mural was completed.

Crime Prevention Minister Edward O’Donohue said the Presidents Park mural would help build community confidence.

The government also announced new science classrooms for two local-area schools.

Point Cook’s Alamanda K-9 College and Tarneit P-9 College will each receive new science laboratories, including rooms for preparation and storage.
