When Kelly Templer was pregnant with her son Jett she basked in her pregnancy glow.
After giving birth, and wanting to maintain that glow, she created her own skin care range and shared it with family and friends.
Ms Templer started selling the products online before developers Stockland offered her the chance to run a two-month pop-up shop at the Point Cook Town Centre.
Three-and-a-half years later, her business – selling B4W skin care products– is still going strong.
Ms Templer has since expanded her range, which includes natural body care products, hand care, aromatherapy, essential oils and candles. She said running the business was inspirational.
“It pushed me in the right direction to follow my dream,” she said. “I don’t ever feel like I get up and am going to work, it’s a beautiful thing.”
She says she’s keen to expand the business further and hopes to open another store by the end of the year.
The Point Cook resident has this year entered B4W in the retail category for the Wyndham Business Awards.
Nominations are being accepted for this year’s awards, which will be presented in 16 categories at an August 26 function at the Encore Events Centre. Go to bit.ly/1vEiDrW for more information or to enter.
