Real-time training, online

While visits to the gym are off the agenda right now, In 2 Life Fitness in Point Cook has adapted to coronavirus restrictions by offering virtual training sessions, conducted in real time.

In 2 Life Fitness owner, Carolyn McMillan, says the virtual training on offer is unique.

“We’re not doing the ‘trainer on the screen’ and you just follow along,” she explains. “We’re running real-time training, with qualified personal trainers watching each participant on screen, guiding each person on techniques.

“Our trainers motivate and push each participant based on their fitness, with modifications made for anyone with an injury or specific need.”

Virtual training is undertaken for 1:1 Personal Training sessions, Small Group Personal Training (maximum of 4 people), Group Fitness classes and Mums & Bubs postnatal classes.

With Covid restrictions starting to ease, In 2 Life is now able to offer outdoor personal training (max 2 people) in Point Cook, until the studio is able to reopen.

Carolyn says that her ‘fitness family’ has thrived in the past six months.

“We continue to see improvements in our clients’ health and fitness and they’re able to continue working towards their summer goals.

“Our Mums & Bubs sessions enable new mums to work on their postnatal health while meeting other new mums. We encourage all mums to stay online after the workout to have a mothers’ group chat, sharing stories and experiences and just hanging out with others in the same boat.”

Mental health during COVID is another focus of In 2 Life Fitness, with activities provided to focus on positivity. These include regular trivia nights, monthly fitness challenges and weekly quizzes via the private Facebook group, as well as fun-filled themed workout sessions.

Carolyn invites people to check out their Facebook page to see what they’re doing to help the community stay sane during lockdown.
