Newsagency with the crew to get you through

The Werribee Newsagency has been a pillar of the city centre for more than 40 years and continues to provide a raft of essentials, gifts and services throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

With one of the biggest magazine selections in the state, Werribee Newsagency and Dymocks Books Store sells stationery and books for business and school students, a massive range of cards to suit any occasion, as well as giftware which includes candles, leather handbags, baby, wedding, religious, games and toys.

It is also one of the luckiest Tattslotto stores in the state having sold more than 50 division one winners over the years.

Store manager Hayley Murphy, the longest serving staff member – notching up 20 years, says: “We have been providing our services to the community for over 40 years and we are a one stop shop with so much to offer.

“We provide great customer service and we are always willing to help you find what you need.

“If we don’t have something in stock we will try our best to get it in for you.”

She says it’s the team that makes the dream a reality.

“Everyone has knowledge of all products and some specialise in a specific department,” Hayley says.

“But everyone is willing to help find what you need. Our staff experience ranges from two to 20 years.

“When customers walk through our doors they comment on what beautiful products we sell.

“We love our regular customers when they come in every week and look forward to meeting new customers.

“We like to offer our products and services and appreciate the feedback.”

Among its many services on offer, the newsagency offers delivery within five kilometres during stage 4 lockdown, photocopying and fax services, Ladbrokes, Bitcoin, Coin jar as well as dry cleaning.

New giftware and products come into the store weekly with selected giftware on sale for 30 per cent off for those looking for a bargain.
