Dr Sarojani Maskey and her team have dedicated their careers to giving patients back their smiles.

Their vision for Dental@Hoppers is to provide a comfortable, enjoyable and affordable dental experience to the community.

With many years of experience between them, Dr Sarojani, Dr Pehal Ranjan and Dr Amreen Hussain provide general dental treatments such as check-ups and cleans, fillings, root canals, extractions, dentures and cosmetic dental treatments.

Dr Sarojani, the principal dentist, has worked in both public and private dental clinics and has been a part of the Flying Doctors program.

“I have a passion for dentistry which goes beyond the walls of the treatment room, and want to provide a service to the community,” she says.

Dr Pehal has been practising for more than 15 years and has a particular interest in paediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (dentures, crowns and bridges) and periodontics (gum disease).

Dr Amreen obtained her Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Monash University and the University of Melbourne respectively. She has volunteered as part of the Royal Flying Doctors Service in Nepal in rural Victoria and is fluent in Bengali.

All three dentists are dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and health.

“Most oral health conditions are preventable, however many people aren’t aware of the importance of good oral hygiene and the effect it has on an individual’s overall health,” Dr Pehal says.

“We strive to improve people’s knowledge about oral health and ensure they have a comfortable, yet affordable experience.”

Dr Sarojani says the team has a professional, compassionate approach to patients.

“To have patients come in with pain, missing teeth or problems they need help with, and have them smiling and happy after their treatment is very rewarding,” she says.

“It’s like returning these people with their lost smile.”

“We also help patients who might be anxious about going to see a dentist feel comfortable and confident to discuss any concerns with us.”
