Top-notch location: 43 Willmott Drive, Hoppers Crossing, 3029

Built to last in the late ’70s, this beautifully maintained house, within a three-minute walk of Waringa Park School, Waringa Crescent Reserve and Woodville Park shopping centre, is a family winner.

The ’70s mission brown has given way to light neutrals with soft-green accents and grey carpets and the main bathroom has been completely revamped. Gardens, front and back, are pretty and neat as a pin, adding considerably to the overall appeal.

Soft-grey floor tiles are in the short entryway, to the left of which are double doors to a carpeted lounge room. This has a mirrored wall bouncing around light, as well as a built-in timber bar – handy when entertaining. Windows are dressed in soft-green drapes and lace, as they are in other rooms.

An archway from here ushers in the kitchen and meals zone, the latter with a wall of timber and a slider to a great outdoor room. This has a ceiling fan and heavy bistro blinds which, when raised, allow a seamless flow to the garden. External awnings shading the room are a handy addition, with the space also accessible from the lounge room.

The kitchen, with appealing soft-green cabinetry, has a servery bench, corner pantry, underbench oven and gas cooktop. A garden bay window behind the sink is a nice design touch. The next-door laundry has cupboards and timber benches.

A long carpeted hallway from the kitchen leads to the four fitted bedrooms with ceiling fans, as well as the smart new bathroom with a glass-topped 2pac vanity and contemporary tapware; the toilet is separate.

The main bedroom, at hall’s end, has a dressing room with mirrored robes and an en suite with a modern vanity.

Ducted heating and seven security cameras are part of the deal.

The backyard has quality synthetic turf and islands of pretty cottage-style gardens. A secure dog run, garden shed and a 6000-litre water tank are out here as well.

The block of about 575 square metres has a drive-through double garage with mechanic’s pit. An area for parking a caravan is behind the garage and side gates farther along allow backyard entry.
