Downsizer’s heaven: 75 Knightsbridge Drive, Tarneit, 3029

Right at the end of the main boulevard in Knightsbridge estate, this alluring Hamlan Homes-built cottage will hold definite attraction for couples and young family, but couldn’t be more textbook-perfect for a discerning downsizer.

It looks pretty as a picture kerbside, with its white roses marching down the path to the lacy verandah and cheeky pink front door. And gardens out back seal the downsizer deal.

Attractive matte floor tiles form a walkway past a grey-carpeted open lounge room that’s replete with elegant touches. The fringed damask drapes, sparkly pendants and an accent of silver-and-grey wallpaper ooze refinement, and french doors allow lovely airflow from the front verandah – a treat on balmy evenings.

The main bedroom opposite has the same drapes, another blingy pendant and a navy blue accent wall, the shade matching the en suite’s glossy floor tiles, while the metallic-pewter shower tiles get a tick.

Other bedrooms are along a hallway shared with the pristine main bathroom, separate toilet and the laundry. Each bedroom has built-in robe, timber blind and accent wall in a milk-chocolate shade.

A pair of Moroccan-influenced pendants mark the dining zone in the expansive tiled living domain, and other elegant drapes dress light-welcoming windows. An accent wall of wallpaper in a distressed concrete look fits right in with the overall look.

The kitchen, with a french-door pantry, has loads of white cupboards and matte-grey stone-look laminate tops benches complement the glossy black splashback tiles. Dishwasher, gas cooktop and wall oven are on board.

A glass slider from the family space reveals a pretty side garden area with a stylishly subtle water feature. A set of double sliders open to a covered deck at the back.

The yard is very pretty and promises even more beauty to come. Synthetic grass and pebbled pathway are encircled by crepe myrtles, lavender, trimmed shrubs and ornamental grasses, while a blooming creeper steals along the back fence. One of those crepe myrtles screens a good-sized garden shed.

This rather special place also has ducted heating and cooling and a secure carport. Tarneit West Village shopping centre and Pacific Werribee are both three minutes away.
