Theatrical season set to entertain

The Wyndham Cultural Centre’s 2022 theatrical season has been announced.

Musical tribute acts including will The Travelling Wilburys Sessions, Fleetwood Mac Tribute – Tusk, QUEEN ROCKS – The Definitive Tribute and a live circus rock tribute to David Bowie be held at the Werribee centre across the next 12 months.

Productions including The Retreat by Western Edge Youth Arts and STARDUST + THE MISSION by The Space Company will also be performed at the cultural centre.

Jack and Millie, a show penned by Werribee resident Alaine Beek from Essence Productions, will be staged between March 1 and March 3.

“It’s the true story of my breast cancer journey, I wanted it to be positive, I didn’t want it to be gloom and doom,” Beek said.

In April, Piano Bar Shipped will bring its talented musicians and performances back to Wyndham.

Also in April, children’s performers David Lampard and PJ Oaten will take to the stage for a concert titled You Are A Donut.

Wyndham’s creative cities portfolio holder, councillor Marcel Mahfoud, said: “The uncertainty of the last few years will have people wanting to laugh and enjoy some great comedy at our local venue – the Wyndham Cultural Centre.

“March is the comedy month, with the Comedy Festival – featuring Neighbourhood Sessions and a show by Ross Noble which will have everyone chuckling and laughing.

“Come along and enjoy and immerse yourself in one of the fabulously entertaining shows on offer and book tickets to a show that interest you.”
