Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man after a theft from a Hoppers Crossing liquor store last month.
At 9.20am on Sunday, June 14, the offender entered an Old Geelong Road bottle shop.
The man picked up a bottle of whiskey and a beer.
The man attempted to pay for the beer and claimed he already bought the whiskey.
The man then left the store without paying for the whiskey.
Police have released images of a man whom they believe may be able to assist in their inquiries.
He is perceived to be Indian in appearance, with facial hair and dark brown hair.
At the time of the offence he was wearing black glasses, a dark grey jumper, light grey tracksuit pants and white sneakers.
