When Toni Childs steps on stage at Wyndham Cultural Centre in 10 days, the Emmy-winning, three-time Grammy nominee’s powerful, utterly distinctive voice is set to stir hearts and minds with music from her vast catalogue over a long and celebrated career.

After an incredibly well-received 55-date national tour last year, the legendary Toni Childs now brings her Retrospective Tour two-hour performance to Wyndham fans.

Last year was also the 30th anniversary of her critically-acclaimed Union album. For the first hour, Toni will perform hits and fan favourites from Union, House of Hope, Woman’s Boat, and Keep the Faith albums.

The second hour will be an introduction to Childs’ new music, from two special albums: It’s All a Beautiful Noise, and Citizens of the Planet.

Childs is also a celebrated songwriter, and known for her inspiring independent spirit and crafted storytelling. In an illustrious career, she’s opened for Bob Dylan, and performed with greats such as Al Green and Peter Gabriel.

She has fans in 50 countries around the world who have been treated to such international hits as Don’t Walk Away; Stop Your Fussin’; Walk and Talk Like Angels; Zimbabwe; Where’s the Ocean; Many Rivers to Cross; I’ve Got to Go Now, and Because You’re Beautiful – to name a few.

In coming years, It’s All a Beautiful Noise and Citizens of the Planet albums will get a wider release, with both part of two unique 3D-mapping shows, featuring two hours of music, animation and high-tech audience engagement.

In the meantime, don’t miss the inimitable Toni Childs performing her greatest hits and be part of the most extensive Australian tour she has ever undertaken.

The event is on Saturday, March 28. Tickets are on sale at Wyndham Cultural Centre,
177 Watton Street, Werribee.
