It’s time to do the jailhouse rock, mooch like Minnie and shake your tail feather.

The Blues Brothers movie will be shown at Wyndham Cultural Centre, as part of Wyndham council’s Sunday Movie Club program, on August 18.

The ’80s classic will be accompanied by hilarious guest performers and a costume competition.

Wyndham’s arts, culture and heritage portfolio holder Cr Tony Hooper said the Sunday Movie Club was a live cinema experience like no other.

“These are screenings where shouting out your favourite lines, singing along to the music and throwing popcorn at the baddies is encouraged and part of the fun,” Cr Hooper said.

“With an all-star cast including Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, James Brown and Ray Charles, a rocking soundtrack and live performances from some of Melbourne’s best comic and cabaret talents – this is one you won’t want to miss.”

This year’s Sunday Movie Club season is set to come to close with another ’80s classic, Labyrinth, to be screened on September 22.

Tickets : $15, see wyncc.com.au to book.
