Past mayors and citizens of the year gathered at a lunch of Wyndham luminaries.
The council hosted its mayors’ luncheon earlier this month in gratitude to those who have shaped the community.
Mayor Mia Shaw said it was an opportunity to honour past councillors and local volunteers for their “ongoing contributions to our wonderful city”.
“Due to their past work, Wyndham has seen a number of major projects implemented and infrastructure improvements that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible,” Cr Shaw said.
Council director Kate Roffey spoke about the work council was doing across the municipality particularly on delivering the multi-million dollar 15,000-seat stadium earmarked for Tarneit to base a new A-League football team.
