Paws for a good cause

Are you feline smart?

The not-for-profit cat rescue group Purrs of Point Cook, which is run solely by volunteers, will host a fundraising trivia night in Laverton next month.

Purrs volunteer and foster carer Jennifer Tagg said funds raised at the event would be put towards vet bills, medication, food and litter for rescued cats and kittens.

Ms Tagg said teams of 10 could enter the trivia night, or the event organisers could put people into teams.

She said the trivia questions would cover topics including history, geography, current events, sports, arts and – of course – cats.

There will be plenty of prizes on offer throughout the night.

The trivia night (for adults aged 18 and over) will be held at 6.30pm on Saturday, July 20 at the Laverton Bowls Club, 77-87 Hall Avenue, Laverton.

BYO food. All drinks purchased can be from the bar.

Tickets: $18 or $150 for a table of 10. To www.trybooking.com/BCFIC, or see www.facebook.com/events/324391168183473 for details.
