Wyndham Business Awards
Nominations for the 2017 Wyndham Business Awards are now open. There’s a number of award categories for businesses to enter, including home based, logistics, manufacturing, new and emerging, personal services, professional services, retail, tourism and hospitality, trades and other services, excellence in innovation, excellence in sustainability, young entrepreneur of the year, business person of the year and business of the year. Safety Expo for senior drivers
The next Senior Drivers Expo will be on Saturday, June 3 from 9.45am at Hobsons Bay Council Civic Offices, 115 Civic Parade, Altona. RoadSafe Westgate Community Road Safety Council will provide information about road laws, health and effects on medicines. Participants get a free and confidential driving assessment in their own car and an assessment of their car’s safety. Bookings essential.

Werribee Probus Club
If you are retired or semi-retired with time on your hands, join the Werribee Probus club and help fill that void. Probus organises weekday bowls, special day lunches, theatre nights, day tours and obtains professional guest speakers for monthly meetings, which are held on the fourth Monday of each month.

Tai chi for parents
Try out tai chi for parents on Tuesdays from 9.15-10.15am at Quantin Binnah Community Centre, 61 Thames Boulevard, Werribee. Cost, $8 per session or $65 for the term.

Justices of the Peace, or JPs, are available at Werribee police station, 134 Princes Highway, Werribee, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-1pm, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-8pm.
