Free Senior Drivers Safety Expo

The next free Senior Drivers Expo will be held on January 29 at Braybook Community Centre, 107 Churchill Avenue, Braybrook. The expo starts at 9.45am and will cover road laws, health and effects on medicines. Each participant gets a free and confidential driving assessment in their own car and an assessment of their car’s safety and roadworthiness. Free lunch and expo pack is provided. Bookings essential.

Down to earth

Enjoy a fun-filled, interactive historical and scary performance at Werribee Park historic farm on December 22 from 8.30-10pm. Set in 1862, join Esther and Joe as they introduce their place of work and take you on a journey through this 19th century farm. An evil hag Black Anny is on the loose so you must keep your wits about you. $40 an adult ($35 if you’re a Wyndham resident), $25 for youths 25 and under.

Little River Hotel rocks
Head to the Little River Hotel from 3pm on January 5 and enjoy a family day of musical entertainment by nine different artists, headed up by internationally acclaimed Daniel Champagne. Lots to do for the kids, plus auctions, raffles, giveaways, etc. $35 for adults, $20 for kids under 15, free for kids under 12.

Pop-up park

Werribee’s Station Place pop-up park will return in 2019 on January 18 with a free concert by multi ARIA award-winning artist, Kate Ceberano. The fun starts at 6pm.

Bird exhibition

Overwintering is an exhibition of printmaking, sound and video artworks depicting migratory shorebirds and the issues they face.

Currently on display at the Wyndham Art Gallery, 177 Watton Street, Werribee, until December 31. Entry is free.

Weird and wild

Weird but true animal facts will come to life at Werribee Open Range Zoo between now and February 28, with a new interactive installation that allows the young and young-at-heart to learn through wacky games, fun performances and zany art.

Wyndham Vale parkrun

Wyndham Vale parkrun is a free weekly 5 kilometre timed run, jog or walk every Saturday from 7.45am, starting from Presidents Park, McGrath Road, Gate 3, Wyndham Vale.

Register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first parkrun event.

Bowling with babies

Get together with other mums and bubs each Friday from 10am-1.30pm over a cuppa at Werribee Bowls Club, Chirnside Park, Watton Street, Werribee, to socialise, let the babies play and have a game of bowls. Cost is $10 for bowlers.

Lions Christmas cakes

The Lions Club of Werribee will be selling Christmas cakes and puddings at Pacific Werribee, Manor Lakes Shopping Centre, Bunnings Hoppers Crossing and Bunnings Werribee on December 22-23 between 9am-3pm.
