Ambulance services

Come and hear the team leader from the Manor Lakes Metro West region talk about ambulance services and how they may be of use to you at the upcoming Werribee and Districts Cancer Support Group meeting. November 20 from 7pm at Wayaperri House, 106 Duncans Road, Werribee. This is a free event and open to all.

Twilight market

The Crossroads Uniting Church on the corner of Duncans Road and Synnot Street, Werribee, will be holding a Twilight Market on November 16 from 5pm. Stalls include bric-a-brac, books, plants, nearly new and handcrafted goods. A sausage sizzle and tea and coffee will also be available.

Christmas twilight market

Head down to the Manor Lakes Community Centre, 86 Manor Lakes Boulevard, Wyndham Vale, on December 1 from 5-9pm for the annual Christmas twilight market. Enjoy food trucks, more than 40 stalls, a DJ and free face painting. Santa will also be making an appearance.

Christmas show

Celebrate Christmas with a free Christmas show at Equip Church, 147-155 Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing, on December 1 at 6pm and December 2 at 4pm.

Bowling with babies at The Hive

Mums and bubs are encouraged to head down to the Werribee Bowls Club, Chirnside Park, 237 Watton Street, Werribee, on Fridays from 10.30am-1.30pm to socialise over a cuppa, let the babies play and have a game of bowls. $10 for bowlers.

Mini fete

Head down to Mercy Place Wyndham, 39 Deutgam Street, Werribee, on November 24 from 10am-3pm and enjoy a mini fete featuring a barbecue, plant stall, craft and cake stalls.

Plasma donors needed

The Werribee Blood Donor Centre needs 500 more people to donate plasma in the next four weeks. Plasma can be used in 18 different life-giving ways and demand is growing every year.

Relax with meditation

Experience serenity and calmness through a 45-minute guided meditation commentary and in a safe comfortable environment on November 16 from 7.30pm at the Derrimut Heath Primary School Community Room in Hoppers Crossing. Enter via the Fernwood Drive gate. Cost is $5 per person. Bring a mat, blanket/pillow or other props for comfort. Not suitable for children.

Join the choir

Residents can join the Bridge Community Choir as it starts to prepare carols for Christmas. The all-ages, all-abilities choir meets weekly at the Werribee Baptist Church (opposite Werribee Pacific Plaza) on Mondays from 7.30-9pm.
