Stallholders wanted

The 2nd Werribee Scout group is looking for stallholders to see off new stuff, old stuff, pre-loved stuff or crafts as part of its Garage Sale Trail effort on October 20 from 9am-3pm. Cost: $20 for a stall and a donation to the raffle.

Pink Ribbon Morning Tea

The Grange Community Centre, 260-280 Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing, will host a pink ribbon morning tea on October 22 from 10.30am. Tickets cost $12 and include morning tea followed by great live entertainment.

Over ’50s table tennis

Come down for a social hit of table tennis on Tuesday mornings between 9-11am at Eagle Stadium, Ballan Road, Werribee. Equipment available for use.

Morning singalong

Enjoy a morning listening to songs from the ’30s, ’40s and ’50s at Werribee Church of Christ, 200 Tarneit Road, Tarneit, on October 18 from 10am-1pm. Entry costs $5 and includes a light lunch.

Bowling up

Try your hand at lawn bowls, darts, carpet bowls for all abilities and pool at the Hoppers Bowls Club, 180 Pannam Drive, Hoppers Crossing, on October 18 from 10.30am-3pm. No experience necessary. Casual, flat shoes can be worn. Free cake, coffee and showbag. Prizes to be won.

Werribee Craft Festival

The Werribee Craft Festival will celebrate its 40th year with its biggest event yet. More than 100 stalls will showcase handmade, unique and high-quality goods, and there will be food stalls and children’s activities. From 9am-4pm on November 10-11 at the Encore Events Centre, 80 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing. Entry is free.

Bowling with babies

Mums and bubs get together each Friday from 10am-1.30pm at Werribee Bowls Club, Chirnside Park, 237 Watton Street, to socialise and have fun games of indoor bowls. Mums’ groups are very welcome.

Social 7s softball competition

Play mixed social 7s softball on Sundays at the Werribee Softball Association, McGrath Road, Gate 3, Presidents Park, Wyndham Vale, from 2-4pm, until October 28. Beginners are very welcome. Bring your family and friends and make your own team of seven players or come down and we will place you in a team. All equipment provided. $2 per player, per week.
