WERRIBEE Tigers have re-signed four of their leaders for the 2013 Victorian Football League season.
Captain Robbie Castello, vice-captain Kyle Hartigan, this year’s Liston Trophy winner Ben Ross and 2011 best and fairest Ben Sharp pledged their commitment to the Watton Street club as it takes aim at going one step better and featuring in a grand final next season.
“Robbie, Kyle and the two Bens are key contributors on field and certainly vital cogs in our on and off field leadership,” Tigers chief executive Mark Penaluna said.
“Their loyalty and commitment is outstanding and the chance to go one step further next year was certainly a factor in them staying at the club.
“Like the board, coaching staff and supporters, they are hungry for success, and can see we are really close, after missing a grand final place by less than a goal this year.”
