Cultural contribution at Point Cook College

A DAY at school became a colourful Indonesian experience for students of Point Cook P-9 College on Monday when they welcomed 18 young dancers.

Dressed in striking traditional costumes, the dancers, part of the Australia-Indonesia youth exchange program, put on a 50-minute performance of routines and captivating drum beats followed by storytelling about Indonesia’s rich culture and history.

Sponsored by the Australia-Indonesia Institute in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the exchange is run in conjunction with the Indonesian government.
