POINT Cook Lions Club is on the prowl for more members to help foster community goodwill. Kelly Wikham, Paul Doherty, Angela Heywood and Alan Curtis (pictured) are among the club’s eight active members.
“What appeals is to be able to assist the community, whether it’s a clean-up day, a sausage sizzle or fund-raising activities of any kind, like a recent dinner for Breast West where we managed to raise $8000,” Ms Heywood said.
“We’d love people from all different backgrounds, young and old, to get involved in being active around their community.”
The club meets every second Wednesday at 7pm at the Featherbrook Community Centre. Details: 9394 6700.
