K9s come out to play for Our Lady

LEADING Senior Constable Hayden Bodycomb from the Victoria Police dog squad was a popular visitor to Our Lady of the Southern Cross Primary School in Wyndham Vale last Friday.

Pictured with grade 3 pupil Chevon and some of the squad’s working dogs, he spoke about his job, how dogs are trained and their role in fighting crime.

Dogs and handlers carry out specific tasks such as tracking offenders, or detecting explosives or narcotics.
