Hop, skip and a jump to upmarket hub

Residents of the western suburbs who are tired of travelling into the city for a classy venue will be happy to hear one has just opened in their local area.

Hotel520 is an upmarket entertainment hub with something for everyone.

Having only opened on Monday, the hotel’s main celebration is yet to come with a Vegas-themed launch party this Friday night.

“We are the newest and brightest venue in the west,” says event manager Erin Maguire. “We have high standards on our amazing food, exceptional service and the entertainment we offer.”

The hotel caters to young and old, with a bistro, coffee lounge, sports bar, TAB, children’s playroom and ‘Aurora’ function room.

“We will provide the best entertainment — concerts, tribute shows, children’s parties, poker and trivia nights, bingo and morning melodies.

“There will always be something fun and exciting happening at Hotel520 and everyone is welcome to be part of it,” she says.

Besides entertainment, there’s also an exciting menu. Head chef Michail Kourouvakalis grew up cooking in Greece and has worked in Europe, London and at The Sebel in Melbourne.

“Our bistro menu is designed to excite diners’ senses with modern Australian cuisine with Mediterranean influences. It focuses on fresh, hearty and delicious meals for the whole family,” Erin says.

The children’s playroom is sure to be a hit with its ‘Eye Play’ interactive games, beanbags and kids’ movies, while the sports bar with pool table, large flatscreen TVs with Foxtel, and lounge area will appeal to adults.

For special occasions such as weddings, parties and conferences, event space ‘Aurora’ can seat up to 250 guests.

Memberships are available from the venue.

There’s also an on-site bottleshop.

“We’re proud to offer a high-calibre venue that stands by its slogan — entertainment for everyone,” Erin says.
