WERRIBEE City lost an all-action affair 6-3 to Altona Magic in the last round of the Football Federation Victoria men’s state league 1 season on the road at Paisley Park on Saturday.
The Bees, who have been so good under Nino Ragusa since their slow start, missed out on the chance to snare a third-place finish, tumbling to fifth as a result of the loss.
The Bees finished the season on a low note with three straight losses, but faced champions Pascoe Vale twice in that period. Meanwhile, Hoppers Crossing completed its dream season in provisional league 2 with a 2-1 victory over Epping City at Grange Reserve on Saturday.
