Motorcylist dies in Werribee

POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Werribee this morning, which killed a motorcyclist.

At about 9.45am, a motorcycle travelling west in Hoppers Lane struck a bus entering Hoppers Lane from a sports complex.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, while the driver of the bus, a 60-year-old man, is assisting police with their inquiries.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time and no other injuries.

Traffic is being diverted in both directions along Hoppers Lane.
