GDNL: Walk in park for Centrals

WERRIBEE Centrals were in total control throughout a 78-21 thrashing of Anakie in the Geelong and District Netball League A grade at Anakie Reserve on Saturday.

The Centrals controlled the tempo of the game with quick ball movement and had plenty of possession with their defensive combinations coming up with plenty of intercepts.

A solid team effort was complemented by an impressive showing from goalers Mickayla Ward (34 goals), Rebecca Lally (29), Jenni Gardner (8) and Ellie Tubbs (7).

Amanda Wilson and Noni McLure were named best.

The third-placed Centrals will meet undefeated Winchelsea in a final-round blockbuster at Galvin Park on Saturday.
