WYNDHAM police are continuing their search for those responsible for a spate of shootings in Truganina, Hoppers Crossing and Tarneit.
As reported by the Weekly, houses and vehicles were targeted in an apparently random series of shooting between April 14 and June 29.
The first shooting was in Doynton Parade, Hoppers Crossing on April 14, followed two days later by a shooting at a house in Westmeadows Lane, Truganina.
On May 24, police were told bullet holes had been found in a vehicle and garage door in Hogans Road, Tarneit.
A single shot was fired at a house in Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing on June 7. The latest incident was at a house in Sayers Road, Truganina between June 27-29.
Werribee’s Detective Senior Sergeant John Johnston said police had received some information from the public but it had not lead to an arrest. He said there had been no shootings since July 4, when police appealed for help identifying those responsible.
“I would hope the perpetrator or perpetrators would recognise the serious risk to the community and have chosen not to continue to engage in that sort of behaviour.”
