WHILE it’s a few months before Wyndham residents take boats into Port Phillip Bay during the busy summer season, Werribee Coast Guard says now is the perfect time to check the safety of your vessel.
Volunteers including Melissa and Les DeBlasis (pictured), are urging boat owners to have them serviced and to check safety equipment to ensure an enjoyable time on the water.
The Werribee Coast Guard flotilla covers a 684-square-kilometre area of Port Phillip Bay from Werribee South to Indented Head, with its busiest period between October and April.
