WERRIBEE Centrals had a commanding 46-29 win over Bell Post Hill in a Geelong and District Netball League A-grade blockbuster on Saturday.
The Centrals defended their home court at Galvin Park to perfection with water-tight defence led by Amanda Wilson and Maria Masei.
Their fluid attack left player-coach Nicole Stewart with no doubts over the effectiveness of her combinations.
The attacking crew of Mickayla Ward, Jenni Gardner and Rebecca Lally worked hard to create space, rewarded with pinpoint passes from the mid-courters.
Ward netted a team-high 24 goals, and Danni Stewart’s class shone.
The third-placed Centrals remain in contention for a top-two finish. They have the best defence in the league, conceding an average of less than 30 goals a game.
Meanwhile, the Centrals under-17s produced a remarkable scoreline, defeating Bell Post Hill 57-3.
