PM helps secure Werribee Mansion’s future

A slice of Werribee’s history will be preserved with Parks Victoria granted federal funding to maintain Werribee Mansion.

The $201,000 grant will be used to replace a slate roof, repair damage and protect the interior of the mansion, which was built in 1877.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard said the community was proud of the building, which is one of Australia’s most architecturally-sophisticated mansions.
