WERRIBEE’S Mambourin Sensory Gardens have reopened after closing at the end of last year.
The gardens were shut when disability support group Mambourin sought state government funding for a respite house at the site.
The application was knocked back but Mambourin decided to reopen the gardens and give its clients somewhere to work.
The gardens are maintained by Mambourin clients including Dion Smith, Robert Coulier, Jason Wickham and William Soulsby, pictured with team leader Ian Hall.
They are open from 10am-2.30pm Monday to Friday.
