Wyndham’s Rotary clubs are teaming up to promote the Bowelscan program. Supported by Australian Rotary Health, the home screening kit allows people to detect bowel cancer in its early stages.
The kits cost $10, which includes testing and notification of the results, and are available at selected chemists across Wyndham.
Bowel cancer kills more than 5000 people in Australia each year, but 90per cent of cases can be cured if treated early.
