Local stories, relics and memories celebrating Werribee’s history will continue to be displayed after Werribee District Historical Society received a $9000 grant from the state government.
Western Metropolitan Liberal MP Andrew Elsbury said the grant would help the society pay for storage and carry out more information processing and printing.
“Wyndham is the fastest-growing municipality in Australia and therefore it’s very important for new residents to know that Werribee has a rich history and has been established for many years.
“It is a strong community spirit that continues to make Wyndham a great place to live and raise a family.”
