WERRIBEE women’s hockey side missed an opportunity to break into the top four following a draw against Melton, in State League division 3.
The Tigers were sitting just outside the four going into the round and a win would have seen them move up to third place, following losses to teams above them on the ladder.
Instead, the draw the 2-2 drawl leaves the Tigers in sixth place, one point out of the third position.

For the Tigers it was a mixed day, with some of the other sides securing some good wins.
The Tigers men’s State League division 3 side was able to secure its spot in the top four with a 3-2 over Frankston.
In women’s Metro 1 North West, a 5-1 win against the Yarra Valley saw the Tigers jump to second on the ladder.
In women’s Metro 3 North West, the Tigers were unable to get their break through win for the season losing 4-1 to Footscray.
The men’s Metro 3 West top-of-the-table Tigers continued their good form with a 6-1 win over Geelong.
In the men’s Metro 4 North West, a 6-2 lose to the lowly placed St Bernards has seen the Tigers fall from second to sixth.
The men’s pennant D side had a 1-1 draw with Doncaster.
This week, the women’s State League side takes on Melbourne Uni and the men’s State League side takes on WestVic.
