A man arrested after a 44-hour siege in East Keilor has been charged with an armed robbery in Laverton North in March.
Armed Crime Taskforce detectives have charged Christopher Dean Binse, 43, with a range of offences including conduct endangering life.
Binse faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court last week on three counts of armed robbery, prohibited person in charge of a firearm, theft of motor vehicle, make threats to kill, reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and assault police serious.
The armed robbery charges relate to a heist on March 19 where two security guards were allegedly held up at the Westside Hotel in Laverton North; the alleged theft of the guards’ handguns and the theft of a police radio in Niddrie on Sunday.
The investigation is on-going.
