Point Cook students help in running for 65 roses

STUDENTS at Point Cook P-9 College including Ryan Butler and Emily Rayment (pictured) are helping two Sunbury runners go the extra mile for cystic fibrosis.

John Davis (also pictured, rear) and Matt Haines, both 24, will spend six days running from Melbourne to Albury, the equivalent of eight marathons.

The pair arrive on May 25 coinciding with 65 Roses Day, the main fund-raising day for cystic fibrosis.

More than 70 Point Cook students showed their support by taking part in a fun run last Friday to raise money for Davis and Haines’ gruelling trek.

Donations: KM’s For A Cure.
