SANCTUARY Lakes slid to fifth on the Golf Victoria men’s division 1 pennant after a 5-2 loss to title aspirant Commonwealth in the fifth round at Heritage Golf Club on Sunday.
The Cooper boys – Jordan and James – were the only two winning players for the Lakes on a bleak day.
In women’s division 5, Sanctuary Lakes had the misfortune of facing Cheltenham on their home course and local knowledge counted for plenty with the hosts collecting a 6-1 win.
