WERRIBEE is the early pacesetter in Hockey Victoria men’s state league 3 after back-to-back wins to start the season.
The Tigers scored twice in the second half from the sticks of Andrew Dearnley and Jayden Street in a 2-1 road win over Frankston Stingrays on Saturday.
In the women’s state league 3, the Tigers are unbeaten in two, thanks to goals from captain Laura Baker and Cath Gladman in a hard-fought 2-1 victory on their visit to Brunswick.
